Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are (Skrillex BatBoi Remix)

Summary: Skrillex most definitely has a strong fan following, but until now, I think he has been a niche artist who's music isn't cut out for the commercial club scene. By no means is this a bad thing, but it's something many working DJ's need to keep in mind. This track, however changes this considerably. He has put together a fantastic Top 40 Remix of Bruno Mars' 'Just The Way Your Are' incorporating hints of his quirky signature sounds. Also, the mastering on this is phenomenal, give it a listen with headphones or really good speakers.

DJ Tips: This has an 8 bar intro but it doesn't sound that obvious. The synth switches on and of the beat, so make sure you understand what's going on before you try to mix this live.

ElectroCity Live!

The Shapeshifters - She Freaks (ElectroCity Club Edit)

Summary: The original was featured on ElectroCity back in December, but as a 7+ minute track. This edit cuts out unnecessary parts of the build and one of the drops, bringing it down to a manageable 3:49.

DJ Tips: 32 bars in, 32 bars out.

David Guetta - Raise Your Hands (ft. Miguel)

Summary: Two days ago, David Guetta released a new track featuring Miguel ('All I Want Is You'), and like many of his recent released, it is essentially a pop song. Also note the blatant ripoff of the riff from 'One'. I don't think there's anything special about this song, but it is ripe for remixing. Let's see what the next few weeks will bring.

Nadia Ali - At The End (Hardwell Extended Mix)

Summary: Another great big room house track similar to Avicii's remix of Nadia Ali's 'Rapture'. Both tracks are from the Onyx and Diamond Editions of her Queen of Clubs release. 'Rapture' was originally released in 2001.

DJ Tips: 32 bar intro, drop after another 32 (2:00). Not much commercial appeal but a great up and coming track for an all house set.
